 Part III. Italy. 60. Epilogue

I was uncertain for a long time how to acquaint readers with the historicity of many of the details contained in the novel. Although Bávlos is fictional, the world he traverses is not. A friend who read a draft of the book suggested a glossary, and that eventually transformed into this epilogue. The historical and cultural information contained in the glossary, on the other hand, became the many cultural information pages that accompany each chapter but this one.
