Part III. Italy. 48. Mount Morello [March 17, 1348]

Mount Morello was one of my favorite places when living in Sesto Fiorentino, near Florence. It is a tranquil and often forgotten mountain, where one can hike, enjoy beautiful views, and see a surprising amount of wildlife. I knew I wanted Bávlos to find this mountain a haven from life in the bustling city. His trying to share his love of the wilds with Buonamico is part of the relationship between the two characters that I wanted to build. They know they are utterly different from one another yet they both want to be friends, almost desperately so.
